Behind Your Eyes
by Mark Hunter |
I just don't think you realize
The love I see behind your eyes
A love I wouldn't compromise
A love as sweet as apple pies
As deep and rich as dark blue skies
And bright and warm as dawn's sunrise.
I'll love you when our baby cries.
I'll love you when I'm old and wise
I love the dress that's not your size
Even your charcoaled steak 'n' fries
I've never, ever told you lies
Or faced you with a false disguise
I try not to ever criticize
Or gamble, drink or womanize.
It's never much of a surprise
When love these days just up and dies
But our love I'd never jeopardize
Cause I'd die the day of its demise
And I could never vocalize
How crushed I am by our goodbyes.
